I saw this earlier today and was laughing about it because it's so true (certainly from my Brit perspective anyway).
I'm pretty much the wealthy man (minus the wealth) who'd go change into my tux and then go smoke a Hamlet cigar (surely the most apt cigar given the circumstance!) and await my fate.
Even if given the option of at least a lifejacket - my attitiude would probably be someone else must need this surely? Besides, I'd all ready have gone to all that effort, so it'd just be a waste on me!
