Vital Superbowl Perparations

Well here we are, blogging live from the the premier UK Superbowl XLII event at Matt's Flat. Any event of this magnitude requires great preparation, first of all supplies:

As you can see, we have made sure that all attendees are availed of a well balanced snack diet.

Our top Chili-meister Nick has taken over preparations for the Superbowl Super Fuel.

As you can see from these pictures, the atmosphere is electric and they've taken the decision to drink an American brew in deference to the occasion. Matt definitely does not have Grolsch and Cider in the fridge as a back up. No sir!

In addition to this, we have the only Brit to win a Superbowl ring in the Sky commentary team. Scott Mccready (clicky for his awesome, world beating stats!) is perhaps the finest British NFL player ever to feature in a practice squad. No one has exploited 'Right Place, Right Time' quite as well as Scott has done and we give him a big hand for that. However we have decided to support the BBC broadcast of the event, in order to boost the figures. And definitely not because the American commentators know what they are talking about. Definitely not.

In closing - LETS GO GIANTS!

The Giants played at Wembley, didn't they?

But the Dolphins won, right?

I can't remember...

But this time the Patriots lost?

What a rambling fool I sound like up there.

lol! Yes they played at Wembley and they won there! So yes I saw the Supebowl champions play live!

And the game ranks up there as one of the greatest I've ever seen in any sport, very glad I stayed up and took a morning off work lol!

See? Not always slagging America off! :D

It's so odd to see Brits watching American football! You did get the chili right though, except to make it with beans is usually travesty. You must make the chili first without beans and then give your chili eaters a side of beans to mix if they so ask. Also, do not eat chili without a bed of Fritos and the toppings of chopped onion, shredded cheddar and sour cream. To do so would be travesty!

Mmmmmmmm Frito Pie!

Matt, why are you Neta?

Thank you, Liv, for recognizing the glory of Frito Pie. You know, it was invented in Texas, right? As was chili. That's right. Chili is very much the state dish, right up there with chicken fried steak.

Of course it was invented in Texas. Chili with corn chips, and chicken fried steak with mashed taters are two of my fave dishes. See? I really do need one of those naturalized Texan bumper stickers.
